Writing & Critical Thinking Coaching

Headline: Better questions make better writers.

Subhead: At QuestionGap, students learn to think, write, and engage with AI as an intellectual partner — mastering the art of asking, analyzing, and expressing ideas clearly.

The Challenge: AI has changed writing forever. It can produce essays, summaries, and even sound like a student who doesn’t write like AI. But it can’t think — and that’s where you come in. The new challenge isn’t producing answers. It’s learning how to ask the questions that guide discovery, sharpen reasoning, and make AI work for you rather than replace you.

The QuestionGap Approach: QuestionGap is not traditional tutoring. It’s applied inquiry coaching — a method that trains students to think like writers, not just write like students.

We use large language models (like ChatGPT) as tools for reflection, dialogue, and iteration — teaching students how to:

  • Frame clear, effective prompts that draw out meaningful answers.

  • Recognize and analyze logical gaps in AI-generated responses.

  • Summarize, challenge, and refine ideas in their own voice.

  • Build essays, arguments, and research papers through guided dialogue.

Every session blends Socratic questioning with AI-assisted learning, helping students gain intellectual independence — the kind of reasoning that lasts long after school.

Who This Is For:

  • High school students developing writing and reasoning skills.

  • College and graduate students refining analytical and research writing.

  • Adult learners seeking to think and communicate more clearly.

Whether you’re writing essays, studying literature, or preparing for exams, this work builds confidence in thinking, not just grades.

How It Works: Sessions are one-on-one via Zoom, scheduled weekly or biweekly. Between meetings, students use guided AI dialogues and reflection exercises designed to strengthen their writing process.

You’ll learn to:

  • Use AI as a thinking partner, not a shortcut.

  • Write faster, with greater clarity and structure.

  • Understand what makes arguments strong and writing persuasive.

(Parents receive brief summaries of student progress when appropriate.)

Results You Can Expect:

  • Greater clarity of thought and expression.

  • Improved writing speed and structure.

  • Ability to use AI responsibly and intelligently.

  • Confidence in independent learning and reasoning.
